Now a report by ET has claimed that Shantanu Naidu’s name is also included in Ratan Tata’s will.
Naidu is currently serving as the deputy manager in Tata Trust and was also Tata’s personal assistant. What Shantanu Naidu has got in Ratan Tata’s will is a stake in the startup Goodfellows. Apart from this, his education loan was also waived off by the great philanthropist.
Who Is Shantanu Naidu?
Shantanu Naidu was a close friend and an assistant of Ratan Tata. Born in 1993 in a Telugu family in Pune, Shantanu obtained a graduation degree in Mechanical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University. After graduation, he did an MBA from Cornell University.
Naidu has been associated with Tata Trust since 2017 and is currently working as a General Manager in the Tata Group.
Shantanu, passionate about animal welfare and community service, established ‘Motopaws’, an organisation dedicated to assisting street dogs. A key initiative is the development of reflective denim collars to enhance the safety of these animals at night.
What Is Included In The Donated Property
Ratan Tata has donated assets valued at approximately Rs 3800 crore, his largest personal holding, to charity. This includes a 0.83% stake in Tata Sons and will primarily benefit organizations such as the Tata Endowment Foundation. His remaining estate, encompassing a 13,000 square foot Juhu bungalow, an Alibaug bungalow, and fixed deposits totaling Rs 350 crore, will also be dedicated to philanthropic endeavours.
