Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning was released in theatres on Saturday. The film has been outperforming the previous film in the franchise – Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1. As per Sacnilk, the film has earned Rs 38.81 crore net in India. The movie had a net opening in India on Saturday with Rs 16.5 crore and managed to collect Rs 17 crore net on Sunday. The film earned Rs 5.31 crore net in India and now the total tally stands at Rs 38.81 crore net. Dead Reckoning Part 1 saw a Rs 12.3 crore opening and earned Rs 30.2 crore in India in three days.
Talking about Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Tom reprises his role as spy Ethan Hunt in the film. The movie also stars Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Henry Czerny, and Angela Bassett in pivotal roles. Christopher McQuarrie directed the film and it has been co-written by Erik Jendresen.
Ajay Devgn starrer Raid 2 was released in theatres on May 1 and the film stars Vaani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in key roles. As per the latest update on Sacnilk.com, the film has crossed Rs 45 crore mark in India and had shown growth on its day 3. As per reports, the film has collected Rs 16.05 crore on Saturday and had an opening of Rs 19.25 crore. Raid 2 has grossed an overall amount of Rs 47.3 crore. It had an overall 23.94% Hindi Occupancy on Saturday.The film earned Rs 12.80 crore even in its third weekend. The movie earned Rs 149.15 crore and grosses Rs 201.50 crore globally, as per the industry tracker Sacnilk in 18 days. The film has higher chances of crossing Rs 250-crore mark worldwide.
Ajay reprises his role as honest IRS officer Amey Patnaik in Raid 2 and faces Riteish Deshmukh, who is a corrupt politician. The film has been directed by Rajkumar Gupta. Raid 2 is facing a tough competition from Hollywood films Mission Impossible 8 and Final Destination 6.
