Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has announced its newest vessel, Norwegian Luna, set to debut in March 2026. Open for bookings, the ship marks the 21st addition to NCL’s fleet and will embark on seven-day Caribbean voyages from Miami. Norwegian Luna promises an enhanced cruise experience, featuring cutting-edge amenities, innovative design, and exciting itineraries.

As the sister ship to Norwegian Aqua, set to debut in 2025, Norwegian Luna represents the evolution of NCL’s Prima Plus Class. Stretching nearly 322 meters in length and with a capacity of around 3,550 guests, the ship boasts a 10 per cent size increase from the earlier Prima Class ships, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva. Built by renowned Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, Norwegian Luna’s design is led by world-class architects, including AD Associates, Rockwell Group, and Piero Lissoni.

Inaugural Itineraries and Destinations
Starting in April 2026, Norwegian Luna will launch two Western Caribbean itineraries, making stops at Roatan Island in Honduras, Costa Maya, and Cozumel in Mexico, as well as Harvest Caye in Belize. It will then sail to Eastern Caribbean destinations such as Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic), Tortola (British Virgin Islands), St. Thomas (U.S. Virgin Islands), and NCL’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, which will feature a new pier by late 2025.

David J Herrera, President, Norwegian Cruise Line, shared his excitement: “Inspired by the relationship between the moon and ocean tides, Norwegian Luna perfectly complements her sister ship, Norwegian Aqua. This ship showcases our ongoing commitment to offering more of what guests value—new, innovative offerings on board and stunning Caribbean destinations.”

Norwegian Luna is set to thrill passengers with its exclusive Aqua Slidecoaster—a hybrid waterslide and rollercoaster—along with the Glow Court, a sports complex that doubles as a nightclub. Popular NCL experiences, including The Drop, a 10-story free-fall slide, and The Stadium, an outdoor activities area, will also be featured.
