Mukesh Ambani’s love for music and Bollywood dance is no secret! It was on full display during the grand wedding celebrations of his youngest son, Anant Ambani. During the sangeet ceremony of son Anant Ambani, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani along with family danced to Shah Rukh Khan’s popular song ‘Deewangi Deewangi’.
Not only with their performance, Nita and Mukesh Ambani with their four grandchildren added a heart-warming touch to the gala Sangeet event with their video. The video features couple lip-synching to the song ‘Chakke Mein Chakka’ from the film ‘Brahmachari’, starring Shammi Kapoor, while driving an open-top car. Their grandchildren including Prithvi, Aadiya, Krishna, and Veda are seen playing with balloons in the car.
According to media reports, during their childhood, Mukesh Ambani and his siblings were guided by a tutor who taught them general knowledge using movies, magazines, and newspapers. Alongside academics, they were also encouraged to play sports like hockey and football.
In 1967, one particular movie left a lasting impression on young Mukesh Ambani and played a role in shaping his career path. As per media reports, the film The Graduate—a widely popular movie of that era—inspired him to pursue chemical engineering.
When it comes to his education, Mukesh Ambani attended Hill Grange High School in Mumbai, followed by St. Xavier’s College. Interestingly, several media reports suggest that he cleared the highly competitive IIT-JEE and secured admission to IIT Bombay. However, he eventually chose to leave IIT and completed his graduation in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai.
After completing his graduation, Mukesh Ambani went on to pursue an MBA at Stanford University. Soon, he returned to India in 1980 to help his father build up Reliance Industries.
