Much like her uncles, Nayantara Kothari is a businesswoman. She is the daughter of Nina Kothari and late Shyam Kothari, Chairman and Managing Director of Kothari Sugars and Chemicals. After the unfortunate demise of her father, she stepped up and took over the reigns of the family business. Kothari assumed the roles of the Chairperson of the firm while her brother Arjun Kothari holds the position as the Managing Director.
Ahead of the Kothari children taking up the reigns, Nina Kothari played a pivotal role in expanding the business and taking it to another notch. The Kothari Sugars and Chemicals boasts a market capitalisation of Rs 435 crores, reports Financial Express.
Kothari’s elite education qualifications speaks of a degree from Stanford University. She mostly stays away from spotlight and is primarily a homemaker. She married into a family of millionaires who own two of the popular and sought after fast food companies in India. Nayantara tied the knot with Shamit Bhatia, son of Shyam Sunder Bhatia, in 2013. Shyam Sunder Bhatia is the chairman of Jubilant Bhartia Group, a conglomerate responsible for introducing Dominos and Dunkin’ Donuts in India. As per Economic Times, the company capatalisation is around Rs 37000 crores. While there is no confirmed number estimating Nayantara’s net worth, it is worth several crores.
Shamit Bhatia serves as the on-Executive Director at Jubilant Industries. He is also the Director at HT Media Group and holds a degree in Economics from Dartmouth College, USA.
