Bihar cadre IPS officer Kamya Mishra has resigned. It is being told that Kamya Mishra had resigned in August last year due to family reasons. After this she went on a long leave. Now her resignation has been accepted by the President. She is originally from Odisha. She submitted her resignation to the police headquarters, citing personal reasons, though it has yet to be accepted. Mishra was serving as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Darbhanga, Bihar, at the time of her resignation.

Kamya Mishra’s resignation has made headlines these days because she is just 28 years old. She had cracked the civil services at the age of just 22. Earlier, Bihar’s dashing IPS officer Shivdeep Lande had also resigned.

Cracked the civil services exam in 2019

Kamya Mishra cracked the UPSC Civil Services Exam in 2019. She got 172nd rank in the country. She has studied from the famous Lady Shriram College of Delhi University. She achieved an impressive 98 percent in her Class 12th examinations, becoming the regional topper. She then enrolled at Delhi University, pursuing her graduation from Lady Shri Ram College. It was during this time that she decided to prepare for the UPSC exams. Initially, Kamya got Himachal cadre. However, later she was transferred to Bihar cadre.

Husband is also an IPS officer

Kamya Mishra’s husband Awadhesh Saroj is also an IPS officer. Saroj is a 2022 batch Bihar cadre police officer. Both got married in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Their marriage was in the headlines. Kamya is very active on social media and keeps sharing photos and videos from time to time.
