Kill Box Office Collection Day 3: Lakshya, Raghav's Film Holds Pace Despite Fierce Competition From Kalki 2898 AD - Check Detailed Report

Kill, an action criminal thriller starring Raghav Juyal and Lakshya, had an increase in attendance on Saturday and Sunday following a sluggish start on Friday, July 5. Despite competition from Nag Ashwin’s science fiction drama Kalki 2898 AD, the movie saw growth of more than 30% from Saturday to its first Sunday. The Karan Johar-produced film Kill made Rs 2.8 crore on Sunday, July 7, raising its three-day total box office receipts to Rs 6.2 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. With nighttime performances drawing the most crowds, it had an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 27.19 per cent.

Kill vs Kalki 2898 AD Clash at Box Office

The movie ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan, is now showing in theatres and is reportedly making a lot of money every day. When ‘Kill‘ was released, it appeared that it would likewise yield to Nag Ashwin’s picture, but that did not transpire. On Saturday, the number of Raghav-Lakshya flicks in the collection increased. Sacnilk claims that the movie ‘Kill,’ which made Rs 1.25 crore in revenue on its first day of release, is now collecting more money.

The film brought in an estimated Rs 2.15 crore on its second day and Rs 2.8 crore (an early estimate) on its third, or first Sunday. With this, Kill has now received 6.2 crores in total revenue. In a scenario like this, Sunday’s ticket sales for this movie may rise even further.

Kill seems to be a good fit for mid-budget movies this year, joining the likes of Munjya, Laapataa Ladies, and Madgaon Express. Karan Johar and Guneet Monga produced film’s performance is better than Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies, but it is not as good as Kunal Kemmu’s directorial debut and Abhay Verma, Sharvari Wagh and Mona Singh’s horror comedy.
