Hiba Nawab starrer Jhanak is all set for a generational leap amid the exit of the main cast. As per reports, Erica Fernandes and Riya Sharma have been roped in as new leads along with THIS actor.
Jhanak is one of the most popular shows that has managed to keep everyone glued to its storyline and plot. The makers are all set to bring in a generational leap in Jhanak and the current cast of the show will mark their exit. Hiba Nawab, Krushal Ahuja, Chandni Sharma, and the entire cast are all set to leave as they will make way for new casting. Recently, the show witnessed a five-year leap in the storyline and the drama will introduce a generation leap of 20 years.
As per ETimes reports, the makers of Jhanak have roped in Zohaib Siddiqui, Erica Fernandes and Riya Sharma to play lead roles in the show. Riya and Zohaib have been confirmed to play their roles, while Erica is set to give her mock shoot. She will soon be signing the dotted lines. Well, it will be interesting to watch Erica return to the television set after a long time. Erica was last seen in Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2 and Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi 3. Erica later moved to Dubai and shifted her base. She later even revealed that she is up for work whenever offered in the Industry.
Actor Sunny Sachdeva who is part of Jhanak sgared an emotional note as he bid adieu to the show and said, “The journey of Jhanak has been truly special, and we are still on the boat until things finally wind up. Working with such an amazing team has been a blessing. Magic Moments Motion Pictures has created something magical and won the audience’s hearts through this show”.
Kajal Pisal had confirmed that Jhanak will soon take the 20-year generational leap. “Yes, the show is going to take a five-year leap soon in May, and then a 20-year leap in June. After that, all the actors, including me, will be replaced. I still don’t know when our last working date is, but this is what I know for now. I will surely miss the entire unit and cast of Jhanak. I am so happy to be part of this team, and I hope to get such a team in the future as well,” she told the portal. Jhanak is directed by Shaibal Banerjee and Sujit Pyne.
