Just after his discharge, the global star did something that won the heart of the ARMY. Suga posted a heartfelt message on Weverse, expressing gratitude for their support during his two-year absence and his Seoul drunk driving case in 2023.

In the message, Suga wrote, ‘Hi, ARMYs, nice to meet you. It’s me, Suga. It’s been almost 2 years. How are you all? I am greeting you all after a long time because today I am officially completing my service. It’s also a day I’ve been waiting for, and since it’s been so long, I thought a lot about how to greet you all. First of all, before anything else, I would like to sincerely thank you all so much for waiting so long. I really missed you.’
Suga shares how military service fueled self-reflection
Suga shared that during his military service, he took time to reflect on himself and his work. The two years allowed him to look after himself and figure out what was missing in his life.

He thanked the ARMY for waiting for him during these two years, and apologised, referring to his DUI case that happened in Seoul, which had disappointed the fans with the incident. He also apologised to his fellow member for causing chaos.

When did Suga’s DUI case end?
Suga’s DUI case ended in September 2024 without going to trial. However, the singer was released after paying a fine, but the exact fine amount was never disclosed.
