‘Appavum Veenjum’ is a musical thriller set against the hilly terrains of the picturesque Wagamon and Kuttikanam. The movie is basically about the equation that a young musician has with a middle aged couple. Sunny Wayne essays the role of the musician who comes across as a passionate and intense young man with his rugged looks and brooding silence.
His equation with a couple, essayed by Pratap Pothen and Remya Krishanan is depicted in the movie. The movie traverses through their lives and a new arrival in their mist, who is a college
student. She is from Bangalore and a chance visit to Kerala paves way for her encounter with the young musician. She falls in love with him.
Subtitled ‘Body and Blood’ and taglined ‘Body without mind is brutish’, ‘Appavum Veenjum’ offers a unique thriller. The movie is directed by Vishwanathan and he himself has scripted the movie. Venugopal is the movie’s cinematographer. Music is by Ousepacchan. Ousepacchan has also sang and acted in a song along with Pratap Pothen’s daughter Keya in the movie.
This thriller is expected to be high on musical quotient as well as the visual quotient. Intrigue and bloodshed will also be integral to the movie, with Pratap Pothen’s character wielding a gun.
