While the billionaire couple have gone to extreme lengths to keep the details of their opulent wedding under the wraps, reports suggest that the event will be a star-studded affair. Tabloid reports, which as always should be taken with a pinch of salt, have suggested that Katy Perry and her husband, Orlando Bloom, will feature on the invite list, considering Perry’s friendship with Sanchez.
Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria, a close friend of Lauren Sanchez, is rumored to be another high-profile name on the list, along with the Kardashians, with Kris Jenner hosting a luncheon for Sanchez’s book launch in September 2024.
Other top names include, Lauren’s close friends Kelly Sawyer Patricof, the CEO of Baby2Baby; Jennifer Meyer, a jewellery designer and ex-wife of Spiderman star, Tobey Maguire; and Jamie Mizrahi, a high-profile stylist who has previously worked with Meghan Markle, reports say.
As per a report by People, Bezos and Sanchez have already sent out the invites for their grand wedding.
Wedding will take place on Bezos’ $500 million Koru Yacht?
According to reports, the lavish wedding will be hosted aboard Jeff Bezos’ $500 million Koru Yacht, which will be anchored in Italy’s historic city of Venice for the occasion. The 417 feet long boat– touted as the world’s largest sailing yacht, can host 18 VIPs in its nine cabins, but a Daily Mail report, citing a source close to the couple said the yacht will only be a part of the wedding celebration and not the venue.
Measuring an impressive 417 feet in length– which is longer than the length of a football field– Bezos’ Koru is the world’s largest sailing yacht, and is estimated to be worth a staggering $500 million (over Rs 4329 crore).
Water taxis for guests
As per the Daily Mail report, the Koru Yacht will not be in Venice, primarily because of the city’s regulations to protect its iconic canals. The source said the Italian city will not allow flouting of its regulations despite couple being who they are. “All the money in the world cannot change those regulations. There’s no way that you want to wake up in Venice and not be looking out onto the Grand Canal,” the source was quoted as saying.
However, reports in local media outlets revealed that a fleet of water taxis would be present to ferry the guests across the canals.
Hotels at $32000 a night for guests
The Daily Mail report further revealed that Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez have booked top-of-the-line hotels for their guests in Venice, including the Gritti Palace and Aman Venice. The hotels have been booked in their entirety from June 26 to June 29, 2025, with rooms at these opulent lodgings starting at $3200 a night and up to $32,000.
Lauren and Jeff’s children to attend
The event will also be attended by the children of Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos from their former partners. Bezos has four children from his marriage with ex-wife MacKenzie Scott, while Sanchez has son with ex-partner Tony Gonzalez, and two more kids– Evan and Ella– with her ex-husband, Patrick Whitesell.
